According to PWInsider.com by way of 411mania.com, Road Dogg has been reassigned to NXT in some yet to be determined role. Road Dogg appeared on the NXT Combine special on Sunday afternoon on the WWE Network. Earlier this year, Road Dogg left his role on the SmackDown Live creative team over frustration from dealing with Vince McMahon’s interference with the script.
Road Dogg certainly owes WWE something. Check out a fascinating look at his backstory from Legends With JBL:
Opinion: This might work a little bit better for Road Dogg as it’s the same kind of thing that Mauro Ranallo seemed to do. McMahon has been said to be the kind of guy who can drive a lot of people crazy and it’s not surprising that he runs some people off. Road Dogg is someone who can offer some wisdom to the younger wrestler and maybe working with NXT is a better fit for everyone involved.
Will this be a better fit for Road Dogg? Who else fits in well as a trainer in NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
