An import. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works over the last ten months or so and those changes are not likely to be fully reversed anytime soon. If nothing else the international travel restrictions alone are going to cause issues and that has certainly been the case for the two NXT promotions. Now though, things might be getting a bit better, at least for one wrestler.

While NXT UK has only been around for a few years now, it has built up a bit of a history of its own in that time. The promotion has known stars, histories with their championships and a few stables. The biggest and more powerful team of them all is Imperium, who had been making some appearances in NXT just before the pandemic erupted. They might be trying the same play again.

Alexander Wolfe returned on this week’s NXT, coming out to confront his fellow Imperium stablemates, Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner, after their loss to the Lucha House Party in the first round of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Wolfe has not wrestled in NXT since 2019, though he has wrestled in NXT UK, with his most recent match taking place on the December 3 episode. There is no word on if Walter will be arriving to complete the team anytime soon.

Opinion: I know Wolfe might not be the biggest star in the world but it is cool to see someone show up after a long absence like this. If nothing else, the idea of seeing Imperium back on television is a great thing as they are some of the most interesting things about NXT UK. It would be great to see that in NXT as well, with Walter commanding attention anywhere he goes.
