That might be for the best. Back in 2016, Goldberg returned to WWE and continued his dominant run, eventually taking the Universal Title from Kevin Owens before dropping it down to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 33. After leaving, Goldberg said that he might be back at some point and now that is going to be taking place at the next Saudi Arabia show. But what comes after that?
According to Rajah.com by way of Cagesideseats.com, Goldberg’s match in Saudi Arabia will be a one off appearance and not a regular contract. Goldberg last wrestled at WrestleMania 33 and has only made limited appearances since then, including being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017. There is no word on who Goldberg will be facing at the show, but WWE has been hinting at a match with Bobby Lashley.
Maybe this will be added to the list. Check out some of Goldberg’s best moments:
Opinion: This isn’t that surprising as Goldberg is in his early 50s and is better off just having these one off matches and appearances when the fans don’t lose their interest in what he is doing. Goldberg isn’t someone you can run out there time after time because the impact goes away in a hurry. A match with Lashley could be fun, especially if they keep it down to just a few minutes.
