Sometimes these things just don’t last. Relationships in wrestling are a complicated matter. With all the time spent on the road, you never know how well they’re going to work out. Some of them go on forever while others don’t last all that long. There are several couples thriving in WWE today, but as of this weekend, one of the longer running ones is no longer a thing.

According to a new episode of the Not Your Demographic podcast, Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy have called off their engagement and are no longer a couple. The two have been together for years, with their relationship starting when both of them were in NXT. There is no word on why the two split, though they are reported to still be friends. Bliss is still on Monday Night Raw while Murphy was called up from 205 Live to SmacKDown Live.

They’ve made it public before. Check out Bliss and Murphy talking about….their pet pig:

Opinion: I’m not sure what caused these two to split but hopefully they’re happy doing whatever they want to do. Relationships in wrestling aren’t easy to make work in the first place and this is the kind of thing that happens more often than not. At least it seems to have ended amicably, which is a lot better than some of the stories you hear about this same subject.

Will Murphy be a big deal on SmackDown Live? When will Bliss be Women’s Champion again? Let us know in the comments below.
