Sounds Eggcellent: More On Vince McMahon’s Survivor Series Story

Multiple reasons. There are a lot things going on in WWE at the moment and some of them are more interesting than others. In addition to the regular wrestling and matches being set up, there are also several angles, some of which are more interesting than others. On occasion you get something that is rather bizarre, and that was the case this weekend, as the story is covering two different purposes.

Vince McMahon made his return during the Survivor Series Kickoff Show, where he got out of his limo while holding a large golden egg. Later in the night, McMahon bragged about the egg to Roman Reigns before someone stole the egg from his office. McMahon has ordered Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to find out who stole the egg. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the deal is product placement for the new Netflix movie Red Notice, starring the Rock, which features the egg. The storyline is also designed to get McMahon back on television, as he has not been around as much as of late.

Opinion: It does make sense and it’s nice to have something be a bit more goofy, but I can’t imagine this leads to anything more than a joke as a payoff and that’s not likely to go over well. I like having McMahon back on television, but it would be nice to have the rest of the show be a bit more serious as well. The egg deal is at least something different, though that might not be the best news.
