It seems to have been cleared up. In recent weeks, it has been confirmed that Shawn Michaels is working at the WWE Performance Center. What hasn’t been made clear is what his role at the Performance Center has been, though we might have some new information on that front. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Michaels is working with a handful of talents who are deemed almost ready for the main roster.

Matt Bloom is still the head trainer as confirmed by Triple H on his NXT conference call recorded last week. This leaves Michaels working with a select group of performers, around six or so, in something like a finishing school. In theory, these talents should be ready to be called up in the very near future and only need a little more fine tuning.

If there’s anyone better suited for this role than Michaels, I don’t know who it is. Michaels is widely regarded as one of the best in ring performers of all time and he would seem to be a great choice to help put the finishing touches on some talent. These wrestlers know all of the basics but a final tuneup with one of the best ever isn’t going to hurt anyone.

Do you think Michaels will be a success at the Performance Center? Would you like him to take on a bigger role? Let us know in the comments below.
