That’s a big card on the table. Last month, WWE announced that Brock Lesnar had been re-signed to an extension of unknown length. At the same time, Bobby Lashley made his return to WWE and you could see the match being set up from here. Lashley is another athletic freak with a stellar amateur wrestling background and could offer Lesnar a heck of a challenge.

In case you’re not familiar with Lashley.

Bobby Lashley's dominant moments: WWE Top 10, April 14, 2018

Recently on Twitter, a fan asked Dave Meltzer about Lashley vs. Lesnar taking place at this August’s Summerslam. Meltzer responded by saying that Lashley was under the impression that he would be facing Lesnar at Summerslam when he was negotiating to return to WWE. At the moment, Lesnar isn’t signed for Summerslam but that of course could change in the next few months. At the moment, there is no word on whether or not the match would be for the Universal Title or if Lesnar would have lost the title by then.

Opinion: Lesnar vs. Lashley writes itself. There aren’t very many people who can match up with Lesnar physically but Lashley certainly could pull it off. When he was introduced in Ohio Valley Wrestling at the beginning of his career, he was billed as Brock Lesnar times ten. There’s a natural story there and it could be fascinating to see Lesnar up against someone he can’t throw around like he does to everyone else. Hopefully the match takes place and I can’t imagine Lesnar won’t be at Summerslam in some form.
