Same time next year. One of the most important and enjoyable events on the wrestling calendar is the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony. It is the one night of the year where things are a little more informal and the wrestlers, while all dressed up, are able to come out and appreciate each other, including the previous generation and everything that they have to offer. This year’s ceremony was put on hold but now WWE may have a backup plan.
The Hall of Fame induction usually takes place over WrestleMania weekend but since this year’s WrestleMania was about as unique of a show as you are ever going to find, there was only so much that could have been done. It wouldn’t have been the same to not have everyone in the same building and that doesn’t exactly make for much of a tribute anyway. So now WWE has an idea, and it’s a little more simple than you might guess.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE’s plan for the Class of 2020 is to make them the Class of 2021 instead. The original backup plan had been to move the induction to Summerslam weekend but this did not take place. According to Bodyslam.net, another idea had been to induct a wrestler here and there at different shows throughout the fall, but nothing has come of this yet.
WWE’s plan regarding the 2020 Hall of Fame was to do it at a corresponding PPV once fans returned, ideally SummerSlam. That obviously didn’t happen. With no fans until November at the earliest, the plan is now to induct the 2020 class as the class of 2021 during WrestleMania 37.

The class had some talent. Check out some of this year’s inductees:
Opinion: This makes as much sense as anything else as it isn’t like WWE has a ton of choices with the situation. There are only so many ways to have this many people in one place at time at the moment and it is reasonable to think that they could pull it off by next April. If nothing else, the Bellas could not be around anyway due to giving birth recently, so waiting a bit makes it more fair to them.
What do you think of the idea? Who should induct whom? Let us know in the comments below.
