The names keep adding up. Thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, there are not a lot of options for wrestlers to find work at the moment. The pandemic has not only stopped some promotions from being able to run regular events but in some cases it has caused the promotions to close down entirely. That was the case with a prominent indy, and now it is time to pick up some scraps.

Earlier this summer, Evolve was sold to WWE, who added the video library to its already extensive collection. This one was a little bit different though as Evolve had still been running events and had some talented wrestlers that WWE, or other promotions, might want. That seems to be the case again, as WWE has picked up another former Evolve wrestler.

According to SportsKeeda’s Gary Cassidy, WWE has signed former Evolve wrestler “Retro” Anthony Greene to a contract. Greene appeared at Evolve 131, which aired on the WWE Network as the company’s 10th Anniversary Special. This would mark the second Evolve talent to be signed this week, after Leon Ruff, who had appeared for WWE in recent months. More Evolve names are expected to be signed in the future.

You might need to get to know him. Check out some of Greene’s work:

Opinion: That’s certainly good news for Greene and hopefully for WWE’s fans as well. Greene did well enough in his previous appearance on the WWE Network and hopefully he will get to do it again in the future. WWE is one of the few places regularly running events at the moment and it is good for someone to get involved with the company sooner rather than later.

What do you think of Greene? Who else should WWE sign? Let us know in the comments below.
