A high honor with higher expectations. Wrestling is a sport often built around legends. There are all kinds of historical moments and matches that wrestling companies like to point to in either their own or another company’s history. This can be both a positive and a negative, as you can see how great things were before but it might not compare to what is going on at the moment. That might be the case again in WWE.

There are a lot of names that fans remember from back in the day in WWE, with some of them being more famous than others. Some of these names are made even bigger legends for one reason or another, with Eddie Guerrero’s name being near the top of the list. You still even occasionally see someone use one of Guerrero’s trademarks, including the Three Amigos during Sunday’s Backlash main event. As it turns out, WWE may be seeing another Guerrero coming down the road.

According to TalkSport, Vince McMahon sees Angel Garza as a young Guerrero. Garza is said to be a favorite of McMahon’s at the moment and has even been added to the Monday Night Raw banner on WWE.com. Like Guerrero, Garza is presented as a ladies man, including flirting with Charly Caruso. Garza is a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and has been wrestling as part of Zelina Vega’s stable in recent months.

Garza has a lot of talent. Check out some of it on display:

Opinion: I can see what McMahon sees in Garza, but hopefully this does not lead to WWE presenting Garza as the next Guerrero. There are very few examples of someone being called “the next” anyone and having it be a big success as it puts so much pressure onto someone. Let them be the first themselves, not the next someone else.

Has Garza impressed you? Is he the next Guerrero? Let us know in the comments below.
