They aren’t exactly wasting time. There are a lot of champions under the WWE banner at the moment with some of them being more prominent than others. While you rarely see the top titles on the line on weekly television, you will occasionally see some of the midcard titles regularly defended. As a result, some of the champions will do more things than others, which might be the case again.

Apollo Crews won the United States Title from Andrade back on the May 25 Monday Night Raw. Crews had long since been someone who seemed ready to break through to the next level but never quite got there. That trend finally changed when he won the title, but now it might already be time to change something else up with Crews, with a tease coming this week on Monday Night Raw.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, this Monday’s segment between MVP and Crews was designed to tease a Crews heel turn down the line. Crews had been rumored to turn heel when he returned from a knee injury angle last month but nothing came of it at the time. WWE was said to have not made a decision on the change as of yet. There is no word on when the turn might take place, if it does.

Crews has been on a roll as of late. Check out some of his recent successes:

Opinion: Crews going heel could be the right move for him as he has had some issues with charisma over the years. There are only so many things you can do with Crews’ athleticism, which we have seen quite a few times now. I’m not sure if the heel turn would be a guaranteed boost, but if it means MVP doing the talking for him, that would certainly be a step up.
