He matters too. Earlier this week on Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch dropped a bombshell by announcing that she was pregnant, meaning that she had forfeited the Raw Women’s Title. Asuka was the new champion, having won Money in the Bank, leaving Lynch to go off with no strings attached. Well no strings in the women’s division that is, as she is still engaged to a big time Monday Night Raw star. So what happens to him now?
Lynch is engaged to Seth Rollins, who is one of the top stars on the show. While Lynch will be leaving to have the baby, Rollins will be sticking around for the time being. The baby is due in December, meaning that Rollins has several months before his schedule is going to get a lot tighter. The question now though is what will he be able to do once things get a little more complicated?
According to Tom Colohue of the Dropkick DiSKussion podcast, Rollins will still be wrestling his normal schedule with WWE throughout Lynch’s pregnancy. Rollins will take time off to be at home when he can, but he will be wrestling more often than not. WWE is willing to allow Rollins to be home when he can and there is no word on if anything will change around the time that the baby is due in December.
It’s quite a show. Check out the whole show, plus some of both Rollins and Lynch:
Opinion: This makes sense and I have a feeling that WWE will be willing to work with Rollins on some of these things. At the end of the day, it isn’t clear when WWE will be back on the road again and with WWE taping two weeks worth of shows in a single day, it is possible that Rollins could get to spend a good deal of time with Lynch for several months to come.
What do you see Rollins doing next? What do you see Lynch doing when she comes back? Let us know in the comments below.
