Catch you down the road? WWE is the biggest and most powerful wrestling company in the world but that does not mean it is the right place for everyone. Over the years, all kinds of wrestlers have come and gone from WWE, leaving fans wondering how things could not have worked out better than they did. That might be the case again, with one of the most impressive in-ring performers going today.
The WWE roster is stacked today in a way that you just do not see most of the time. There are so many talented wrestlers around the company that they literally cannot find something for all of them to do and it seems that several of them are left sitting around doing nothing far too often. One of those talented names might be going away in the near future.
According to Wrestling Observer Live, Ricochet’s WWE deal is likely coming up this year and it is not believed that he has signed a new contract with the company. Ricochet is said to have signed a three year deal with WWE in 2018, which would put his contract up at some point this year. It is not clear if he wants to stay with WWE or would rather try his luck elsewhere. A similar story broke back in September, though Ricochet shot it down in short order.
Opinion: This would certainly be a high profile move but at the same time I’m not sure I can see it actually happening. Ricochet is one of the best in WWE today but you would not know that based on the amount of time he has been given on the show. He did win the US Title, though his successes have been fairly limited since then. I’d love to see him stay, but I get why that might not be the case.
