They have earned it. Wrestling is an interesting sport because there are so many wrestlers who have popped in and out over the years. Many of them are going to come and go without much fanfare, but there are some wrestlers who are going to be better known than others. That is the case with a certain group of legends and now they are going to get some of the recognition that they deserve.

The WWE Hall of Fame is one of the more common criticisms against the company. For some reason, the company has never had a physical Hall of Fame building, despite having all kinds of memorabilia and material that can be used to fill one up. At the same time, the inductees into the Hall of Fame seem to be more at the whims of Vince McMahon. There are some others though, and now one of the bigger ones has another class.

According to 411mania.com, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum has announced the Class of 2021 for the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame. The class will be inducted over the weekend of July 15-17, 2021 in Waterloo, Iowa. Most of the class has already been announced, with two special inductees being announced in the coming weeks. Here is this year’s class:

Adnan Al-Kassie
Don Kernodle
Earl Wampler
Trish Stratus
Mark Henry (Lou Thesz World Heavyweight Championship Award)
Ken Shamrock (George Tragos Award)

Opinion: That is quite the honor for everyone involved and it is great to see that these people are getting the attention that they deserve. It is one thing to be recognized by WWE but to be recognized by an outside group like this is something else. Assuming the ceremony can take place, it is great to see these people getting the recognition that they have earned over the years.
