It is his nature. Like him or not, there is no one more powerful in the world of professional wrestling than Vince McMahon. Anything that he does can change the way the industry works and that can make things very interesting in a hurry. McMahon has been in the wrestling news again as of late, but he might not have the same responsibilities for very long.
Over the last several months, McMahon has decided to completely overhaul NXT, which resulted in the debut of NXT 2.0 earlier this week. McMahon has taken a much more hands on approach to NXT as of late, but according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, this might not last. According to Meltzer, McMahon did approve the script for this week’s show but was not present at the event. Meltzer believes that McMahon will quickly get bored with NXT and leave the responsibilities to someone else.
This week’s NXT certainly had some unique moments. Check out some of what went down:
Opinion: Is anyone stunned by this whatsoever? McMahon has a tendency to have a rather short attention span in the process, which can create a variety of issues for WWE. If McMahon cannot keep track of what he wants to focus on, it can make for some difficult for the company. I’m not sure what is going to mean for anything with NXT, and that is kind of a scary situation.
What does this mean for NXT? How long will McMahon focus on the show? Let us know in the comments below.
