I’d say it fits the description. One of the terms that you will hear fairly often in wrestling is “dream match”. While this is the case on occasion, there are a lot of matches where you have to wonder who is having such a dream in the first place. The good thing is that there are dream matches out there and now we are ready to see another one actually taking place.
Earlier this month at AEW All Out, Bryan Danielson made his big debut to close the show. The following week on Dynamite, Danielson made it clear that he had his sights set on AEW World Champion Kenny Omega. This week on Dynamite, Danielson challenged Omega to a non-title match, which Omega accepted. The match will take place at Grand Slam on September 22 and will mark their first singles match since 2009.
Danielson has hit the ground running in AEW. Check out his time with the company:
Opinion: Yeah I would say this qualifies as a dream match. Danielson is a huge get for AEW and it would make sense to put him straight at the top of the card. You do not get that kind of talent dropped into your lap every day and Danielson seems to have already taken straight to more greatness in AEW. That is the kind of thing you can’t plan in advance but AEW is certainly capitalizing on what they have been given.
What do you think of the match? What is next for Danielson in AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
