That’s worse than expected. There are injuries in wrestling and then there are serious injuries. You never can tell how bad they are going to be when an injury initially takes place and then they can get even worse in a short amount of time. That’s what causes some of the worst times to be a wrestling fan: waiting around to see just how bad an injury is. One flared up for AEW during the week and now it might be worse than expected.
According to PWInsider.com, Luchasaurus may have suffered a torn hamstring rather than just a strain. If this is the case, Luchasaurus will be out of action for several months instead of just a few weeks. At the moment there is no word on how bad the injury is or when the injury took place. Luchasaurus’ injury caused a change in the AEW Tag Team Title tournament, with Marko Stunt taking his place in Jurassic Express’ loss to the Lucha Bros on this week’s Dynamite.
Luchasaurus is quite the different kind of monster. Check out what he can do when he is healthy:
Opinion: There is no easy way around this one if the injury is as bad as it seems. That’s a long time to be on the shelf and hopefully it doesn’t last as long as it could. Luchasaurus is someone who has gotten over in a big way with the AEW crowds and it is with good reason. A lot of the AEW roster is on the smaller side and having a guy his size makes him stand out that much more. Couple that with the awesome chemistry he and Jungle Boy have and he is someone who is going to be missed in a big way.
Has Luchasaurus impressed you so far? Who on the roster could take his place? Let us know in the comments below.
