That might be one mystery solved. In recent weeks, “Smackdown Live” has seen an a rare masked wrestler angle and for once it’s been in the women’s division. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been graced by the presence of La Luchadora, a masked woman who has been helping Alexa Bliss. The identity of the person playing the character for now has been revealed and there’s a good chance it’s going to be her going forward.
According to PWInsider.com, indy wrestler and occasional NXT performer
Deonna Purrazzo played the character last week and could be playing the role again tonight. She was seen backstage at tonight’s “Smackdown Live” event in Jacksonville, Florida and there’s a good chance she was under the hood on tonight’s TV show. At the moment, Purrazzo is not under contract and it is highly unlikely that she
will be revealed as the masked woman when the story advances.
This is fine for a short term character. Purrazzo isn’t likely to be the one under the hood and that’s pretty standard procedure. Back in WCW, tag team wrestler Kenny Kaos played a masked man until he was revealed as Road Warrior Animal. The idea of someone else as the character is fine and they can pretty much put in whomever they want until the official unmasking.
Who do you think will be revealed as La Luchadora? Who do you think it should be? Let us know in the comments below.
