NXT Star Announces Severe Injury, Out Nine Months

That’s something that can happen. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and some of them can be rather serious issues. An injury can take a wrestler out of action for several months at a time and you might not even know that it is coming. One of the worst things you can hear is finding out that someone is going to be out of action for several months and now it has happened again.

This week on NXT, Yulisa Leon announced that she had torn something in her knee which will put her out of action for approximately nine months. There was no word on what caused Leon’s injury or when it took place. Leon has been teaming with Valentina Feroz and last wrestled on the August 2 edition of NXT in a four way elimination tag for the vacant NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Opinion: You never want to hear something like this happen to anyone, no matter what level of a star they might be. Leon and Feroz were starting to pick things up and gel as a team and now they are cut off for a long time. The division could use their depth and now I’m curious to see what is going to happen to Feroz in Leon’s absence. Hopefully she gets back sooner than later, but that kind of an injury could take a long time to overcome.
