That isn’t going to go well. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works and that is going to be the case for a long time to come. One of the biggest changes is the way that wrestling companies have been needing to try and prevent the spread of the virus. That can be even trickier in a company the size of WWE. With so many moving parts of the company, things were going to be tricky. It turns out that they might have gotten tricked a bit themselves.
NXT and the WWE Performance Center have been a hot spot for the Coronavirus outbreaks and that shouldn’t be a big surprise. The Performance Center still hosts the wrestlers’ training classes, which means there are several wrestlers together in one place at the same time. This is quite the problem when it comes to containing the virus and that seems to be a problem that is still looming.
According to Fightful Select, the NXT locker room was unhappy with the way that the promotion has been handling the Coronavirus despite multiple outbreaks at the Performance Center. Classes resumed last Friday after another outbreak but nothing had been changed as far as protocols to prevent the spread. NXT does do daily testing for the Coronavirus, but nothing else is being changed.
Things have been going well in NXT otherwise though. Check out what they did last week at Halloween Havoc:
Opinion: I’m really not sure what to think here but at the end of the day you can only get so much out of a place that isn’t trying to change things when the situation is not going well. That seems to be what NXT is doing though and that all but guarantees that things are going to go badly again. Hopefully things get better, but that is not looking likely at this point and NXT can only do so much as a result.
What does this mean for NXT? What happens if there is another outbreak? Let us know in the comments below.
