That’s not a good sign. With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, there are only so many spots available for all of the people. That can become quite an issue at times and a lot of it can be discouraging for fans. If there is a wrestler they do not get to see for some reason, things can be a little annoying over time. It seems that we are seeing that again today with a former champion.
There have been several wrestlers moving up the WWE ladder over the last few years and one of the more interesting ones has been Andrade. After a successful run with NXT Champion, Andrade moved up to the main roster and eventually became the United States Champion. However, that is the high point for his WWE career so far and he has been missing for a few months now. That might continue to be the case.
According to Fightful Select, Andrade was not listed as an alternate for last month’s Royal Rumble. There is no word on whether or not Andrade was present for the match but he was not considered to be part of it in the first place. Andrade has not wrestled since the October 12, 2020 Monday Night Raw, after which he was attacked by the Fiend. The attack allowed him to take time off for a minor medical procedure, though he has not returned to action since being cleared.
Opinion: The more I see stories like this one, the more I think that one of WWE’s biggest problems is how many wrestlers they have. With so many people on their roster, it is virtually impossible to find time for everyone. I understand why WWE signs so many wrestlers, but at the same time, it isn’t like there is room to have this many people around. Letting some of them go may be a good idea, if nothing else for the sake of saving some money.
