He is still the boss. One of the biggest wrestling stories of the year has been the addition of Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman to the SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw executive teams, with the two of them taking over the respective shows. This changed quite a bit, but the caveat was that Vince McMahon was still in charge. That was made known on one of this week’s TV shows.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, this week’s SmackDown Live was changed at the last minute by McMahon himself. McMahon showed up at the taping at around 4PM, decided that he did not like the show, and changed some of the major points. This included Shawn Michaels being on commentary and Daniel Bryan making his career changing announcement. Michaels appeared on MizTV but Bryan was not seen on the show.
Things don’t go well for McMahon on SmackDown Live. Check out one of his more recent appearances on the show:
Opinion: This is where things can become a major problem. At the end of the day, none of what is written matters if the boss comes in and changes everything at the last minute. That seems to be what happened here and that is going to make everything that Bischoff or Heyman can do mean nothing. McMahon is still the boss and will be until the day he is gone, which is one of the best and worst things about WWE.
