It’s not that far away. WWE pay per views come and go at a very fast rate these days, with some shows coming up just a few weeks after another. That is the case with Money In The Bank and Super ShowDown, but WWE isn’t done there. Later that same month, WWE will be presenting Stomping Grounds and with so little time, it means some of the matches need to be set up soon. That might already be the case.
The Tacoma Dome’s website is advertising three matches for the Stomping Grounds pay per view on June 23. Advertised for the card are Roman Reigns vs. Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins vs. Baron Corbin for the Universal Championship and Kofi Kingston vs. Kevin Owens for the WWE Championship. As always, there is a chance that the card could be changed and these matches should only be considered preliminary.
This sounds like a way to set up a title match. Check out Rollins yelling at Corbin over Corbin being bad at his job:
Opinion: Your individual tastes may vary on these but none of them seem to be the most inspiring. Reigns vs. McIntyre has been done several times, Owens vs. Kingston is a rematch from Money In The Bank and Corbin in the World Title scene just feels wrong. Hopefully they can over deliver and leave us with a good show as WWE continues to try to get things back to normal.
