We know the time frame. Wrestling is a hard business to get out of. A lot of people have tried over the years and in several cases, they never can actually get out entirely. You hear about how they want to retire but something keeps pulling them back in. Some of them can get out though and one of the biggest stars in modern wrestling has set a time frame for when he will be retiring.

In a new interview with Newsweek, AJ Styles has said that he will not be signing a new deal with WWE when his current contract expires. Styles signed a new five year contract earlier this year, which will expire in 2024 when Styles is 46 years old. There is a possibility that Styles could retire before the end of his deal, meaning that his in-ring retirement could come at any point in the next five years.

I guess this is on his to do list before going. Check out what Styles was up to this week on Monday Night Raw:

Opinion: This is hardly a surprise as Styles isn’t exactly a young star anymore. I’m sure he’s going to have a trainer’s job or a producer job waiting on him the second he retires and that’s not the worst place in the world. Styles seems to have set up a nice career exit plan for himself as he’s likely making a great check at the moment and can retire when he wants to. That’s more than some wrestlers get to do and good for him.

What do you think of Styles? When do you expect him to retire? Let us know in the comments below.
