Last week, we had the unfortunate task of reporting that former WWE superstar Ashley Massaro had passed away at the age of 39. But how did this happen?

According to a report from TMZ Sports, Massaro was founded in her apartment, where she apparently hung herself in a suicide.

She was found unconscious inside of her Suffolk County, New York home early on Thursday morning. She was transported to a nearby hospital, but had passed away before they arrived. The death is being classified as “non-criminal.”

Check out the happier times in her career:

We at Wrestling Rumors once again extend our condolences to her daughter, and the entire Massaro family during this difficult time.

Editor’s Thoughts:

This is such a tragedy. I know it can be hard sometimes, but if we see people that are hurting, don’t be afraid to ask how you can help. It’s amazing what a little bit of kindness can do to someone who really may need it.
