It was a run. Wrestlers have to do a lot during their careers, but there comes a point where everyone has to hang up their boots. That can make for quite the emotional moment whether you know it is coming or not. There are retirements that are built up in advance but others come out of nowhere. The latter was true in this case as a longtime independent name has made an announcement.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They’re Up: WWE Shows Year To Year Increase In Two Important Areas
Kimber Lee has announced that she is retiring from wrestling after a fifteen year career. Lee, who last wrestled in October 2022, said that she thought she was just taking a break from wrestling but ultimately decided to retire for good. She said that while she expected things to come back together, the butterflies she used to feel are gone and now the name “Kimber Lee” brings “instant heartache and anxiety.” Lee wrestled in NXT under the name Abbey Laith from 2016-2018, as well as in Impact Wrestling.

Lee was a star while she was around. Check out some of her time in the ring:
Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with Lee but if this is what she wants to do then good for her. She is a thirty two year old woman who seems to have done a lot of things she wanted in her career. That is a lot more than what several wrestlers get to do and now hopefully she gets to do whatever else she wants now that she is done with her time in the ring.
