Speed it up a little! Earlier this year, Ronda Rousey made her WWE debut and hit the ground running, going from a big time fan/celebrity to one of the biggest stars that WWE had ever brought in. Her first match was a huge success with Rousey looking more polished than almost anyone could have guessed, meaning it was time for her to become a much bigger star going forward. She’s needing a second match though, and that might have been set up today.

This is what she can do.

Ronda Rousey shows no mercy against Stephanie McMahon in her WWE in-ring debut: WrestleMania 34

According to Postwrestling.com, Nia Jax challenged Ronda Rousey for a Raw Women’s Title match at Monday in the Bank at today’s NBC Upfront presentations in New York City. These presentations are put on by the major networks to show what’s coming up for the new seasons, with WWE being a major presence at the NBC presentation. The match has not yet been confirmed but an announcement at such a major event would suggest that it will be taking place.

Opinion: Well so much for Rousey not being pushed straight to the title. Assuming this match goes down (and I can’t imagine it won’t at this point), Rousey is likely to be champion in the near future. There’s a very strong chance of a screwy finish costing Rousey the title though, even if that doesn’t mean a loss. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her lose via countout or DQ thanks to someone interfering and setting up her first regular program. Either way, this is a big change of pace and a pretty surprising turn.

Do you like Rousey getting this kind of a push? Should she win the title so soon? Let us know in the comments below.
