It’s been awhile. Details are sketchy at the moment but according to the Facebook page of the Talking Stick Resort Arena, the Elimination Chamber will be returning to the arena in 2017. It’s not clear if this will be a “Monday Night Raw”, “Smackdown Live” or co-branded pay per view. No date has been announced either and WWE has yet to confirm the news.

The Elimination Chamber hasn’t been seen since “Elimination Chamber 2015” when the structure was used twice in the same night. The structure hadn’t been used very often in the years before that either with 2012 and 2013 seeing one appearance each. Over the yeas the Chamber has been used to determine #1 contenders and to decide multiple titles. There is no word on how many matches would take place at a show in 2017.

Sure why not. I’d rather have something like the Elimination Chamber instead of some generic show like “Roadblock 2016” or “No Mercy 2016”. Give us something to get excited about instead of a generic night of matches. That being said, make sure that the Chamber is used for something interesting instead of just throwing it out there. I still liked the Intercontinental and Tag Team Title versions but the World Title would make more sense.
