Not much of a surprise here. As of last night’s “Monday Night Raw”, Goldberg has been confirmed as the first name for the 2017 Royal Rumble. Based on new reports, he might not be the top name in the match for long. According to Prowrestlingsheet.com, Brock Lesnar will also be appearing in the match.

There’s a good chance this will be the setup for Goldberg vs. Lesnar III somewhere down the road. Goldberg defeated Lesnar in less than ninety seconds in the main event of “Survivor Series 2016”. While Goldberg had said that was his last match, he then stated that he wanted one more World Title run and would start in the Royal Rumble.

Lesnar in the Royal Rumble would be a good idea as he’s certainly a draw and can wreck a few people in the process. This should also set up a rematch, which may or may not be your own cup of tea. The Royal Rumble is almost always a lot of fun and two big power guys should help the match tremendously.
