It’s a different way to go. Wrestling is all about personalities and making fans care about them. You can have all of the moves and action that you want, but without people the fans are interested in, the in-ring work is only going to get you so far. If a wrestler can make the people care about them, they are going to be made for a very long time to come. Now two more wrestlers might have a chance to do just that.

Like every other form of media, wrestling has changed in the last several years. The veil between the world you see on television and the lives that the wrestlers live outside of the ring has been torn down, which has some positives and negatives. Some wrestlers have become far bigger stars by letting people further into their lives and now two more are going to get the chance.

A reality show focusing on Cody and Brandi Rhodes was announced during this week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. The show, called Rhodes To The Top, will air on TNT and look at the two balancing their personal lives, including Brandi’s pregnancy and careers as executives at AEW. Each episode will run for thirty minutes and there is no premiere date given.

The show has potential. Check out a look at the trailer:

Opinion: This should be a fun idea as the two do certainly have interesting lives. That is the kind of thing that makes reality shows work in the first place and if they can draw in some extra eyes to AEW, good for them. The idea of not letting the wrestling fans see what goes on in their real lives is long gone so if this is going to happen, at least see what it can do for the company.
