There’s still room for more. We are closing out 2020 and that is quite the relief for a lot of people. At the same time though, we are on the way towards a new year and that opens up several doors. There are going to be a few new things in the world of wrestling and some of them are going to involve some matches being added to previously announced shows. That was the case on Tuesday.
Impact Wrestling has gotten a rather nice boost in the last few weeks as AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has appeared on the last few shows. This is leading to a six man tag at Hard To Kill, which will likely serve as the show’s main event. There are other spots to fill on the card though, and now we know what one of them will be. It is even going to involve some silver being on the line.
During this week’s Impact Wrestling, a Knockouts Title match was set for Hard To Kill, with champion Deonna Purrazzo defending against Taya Valkyrie. The match was teased last week when Valkyrie challenged Purrazzo, who accepted the following week. Valkyrie is a former Knockouts Champion and set the record for longest reign in the title’s history. Purrazzo recently regained the title from Su Yung at Turning Point.

Opinion: This might not be the big headlining match of the show, but it’s the kind of match that needs to be added to the card to build it up a bit. It’s also one of the places where Impact Wrestling excels: they have a rather strong midcard and their women’s division is a big part of that. The match should be an interesting one on paper as well, so hopefully we get something solid out of it.
