Back in five minutes. During the Superstar Shakeup, “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” swapped announcers as David Otunga went to Mondays and Byron Saxton jumped to Tuesdays. This gives “Monday Night Raw” a three man commentary booth, or at least it will when something wraps up.

According to WWE.com, Otunga will be away for six weeks filming a new movie called “Katrina”, which will feature him as a New Orleans based DEA agent. While Otunga will be gone, the article suggests that there will be a replacement brought in for the duration of his time away. Otunga has yet to debut on the show.

Opinion: For the life of me I don’t get the fascination with a three person commentary team. It leaves someone like Otunga, the least experienced of the team, unable to get a word in most of the time and it’s not like he had some great career that offers a ton of insight. I’d be fine if he wasn’t brought back and wasn’t replaced but that’s not going to happen for some reason.
