We’ve got a plan! There are a lot of questions to be answered about the wrestling world in the time of the Coronavirus. With so many things going on at the same time, it can be hard to figure out what is going on during any given day, but it can be even more complicated to figure out where things are going in the future. However, we might have a better idea about that in at least one area.
One of the most pressing problems for wrestling companies is managing to have fans in the arena. While WWE and AEW have come up with the solution of having their wrestlers appear as a makeshift audience, that is not something available to every wrestling promotion. Now though, there might be a potential rule change that could make things a lot better.
According to Theledger.com, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announce phase two of the plan to reopen Florida’s economy. This segment of the plan would allow for the reopening of concert halls with 50% fan capacity in all but three Florida counties. As a result, WWE and AEW would be allowed to run events with fans, though they would have to meet the requirements to ensure social distancing. There is no word on if either company is willing to make such an effort just yet. The new rule is scheduled to go into effect on Friday June 5.
Maybe they can do something like this. Check out some of the best crowd reactions:
Opinion: This is something that WWE and AEW are going to need to figure out because there is no telling how things are going to go once they have fans inside the building. What matters though is there is a chance for events to include fans, which have been sorely lacking as of late. There is only so much that you can do with a bunch of wrestlers around, so this is certainly better than nothing.
How will this work out? When will the shows include fans? Let us know in the comments below.
