That’s scary. Wrestling is a physical sport and there is always the chance of someone getting injured. This can be something either short term or long term, as there is always the chance that the issues might not appear until after a wrestler’s career is over. Unfortunately that seems to be the case again, as a wrestling legend is reporting a rather serious health issue.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: AJ Styles Reportedly Considered For Personality Change
During a recent edition of his Everybody’s Got A Pod podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Ted DiBiase revealed that he is suffering from “severe brain trauma”. DiBiase said that he did not have Alzheimer’s or dementia, but he is dealing with memory issues. This is causing issues with his short term memory, as he can remember things from “40 or 50 years ago” but the short term memory is more “bits and pieces”. DiBiase, 69 years old, retired from full time wrestling in 1993.
DiBiase is certainly a legend. Check out what he did in his career:
Opinion: That is terrible to hear but it is not the most surprising. As he said, DiBiase wrestled full time for about twenty years and that is going to cause some health issues. At the same time, no one deserves to have this kind of memory issues, which have to be absolutely terrifying. What matters is DiBiase being as healthy as possible and hopefully he can find some kind of help.
What do you think of DiBiase’s career? Where did he do his best work? Let us know in the comments below.
