So close yet so far. Wrestling is the most unique form of entertainment in the world as it is some weird mixture of action, drama, comedy, romance and theater, plus the athletic side of it adding an entirely different layer. That makes for some of the most fascinating viewing to be found anywhere, but also an incredibly interesting industry for outsiders to look into. That was the case with a pretty big show, but now it has been cut off just before its ending.

Back in 2017, GLOW debuted on Netflix and offered a different look at the world of wrestling. This was a very unique take on the industry as GLOW was based on the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling series from the 1980s, which was more of a show about wrestling than a wrestling show. The Netflix series has been well received and has even won a few Emmy Awards, but the series is not going to have the best finale.

According to Deadline.com, Netflix has decided to cancel the series, meaning there will be no fourth and final season. The final season had been planned and even begun production but the Coronavirus pandemic had caused the production to be shut down, with Netflix deciding not to restart. The show’s wrestling and action scenes made it more difficult to maintain social distancing and it was unknown when the series could be continued.

The cast has gotten involved with WWE before. Check out what happened when worlds collide:

Opinion: That’s rather disappointing as the series worked rather well and was one of the best wrestling series I’ve ever seen. It was nice to have a wrestling based series that played it more seriously and gave the industry a little more respect. I can understand not being able to wait forever on it, but dang this is quite the disappointment as it could have been a very nice finale.
