It was a big night. Every wrestling promotion has their major event of the year. It is something that you can look forward to all year long because you know that a lot of things are going to take place. That often includes a lot of title matches, but the bigger issue is how many title changes take place. Another major show has come and gone and we have some new champions.
Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory has come and gone and as usual, the show had a stacked card. The company goes out of its way to make the event feel important and they managed to pull it off again this year. Not only did the show have some marquee matches but all of the company’s titles were on the line. Several of them changed hands as well, making it quite the night.
The show featured four title matches and three of the titles changed hands. Rich Swann became the new Impact Wrestling World Champion by defeating Eric Young, the North regained the Tag Team Titles in a four way match and Su Yung won the Knockouts Title from Deonna Purrazzo. Yung’s title win was a surprise as she replaced Kylie Rae, who was not at the event. X-Division Champion Rohit Raju was the only champion to retain his title.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing you need to make a big show feel all the more important. Title changes are the kind of thing that add importance and weight to a show, which is what happened here. Some of them were surprises, though I’m not sure how logical they really are. The World Title change is the one that mattered the most though and as predictable as it was, it was still the right call.
