I don’t see that as being a good sign for his future. Love him or hate him, Vince McMahon has more authority and influence in wrestling than anyone in history. That can be either a good thing or a bad thing, as whatever he decides can make or break your career. Therefore, if McMahon does not see something in you, there is a good chance it isn’t going to work out. That may be the case for a certain Monday Night Raw talent and time may be up.
The WWE Draft took place in the middle of October and set up both the Monday Night Raw and SmackDown rosters in stone. That means the rosters are not going to be able to be changed outside of big moments, so there are going to be some spots for newer names to break though to the other side. It seemed to be the case for someone on Monday Night Raw, but that may have fallen through.
It’s like this, but just for the push. Check out some famous firings:
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, McMahon has given up on Humberto Carrillo’s push. Carrillo had received several high profile matches in recent weeks, including a feud with AJ Styles over the United States Title. However, McMahon felt that it was not clicking and has decided to move on. Carrillo was scheduled to be challenging Styles for the title again this week but was attacked before the match and did not wrestle on Monday Night Raw.
Leave the memories alone. Check out what Carrillo could offer:
Opinion: I can get this idea, as Carrillo is someone with a lot of the tools to become a top star but he has never seemed to connect with the audience. When you look at another member of his family in Angel Garza, you can see all of the charisma coming through. Carrillo has a great smile, but he is not quite there enough on the charisma. Maybe that can change, but it isn’t working at the moment.
What did you think of Carrillo’s push? Who will get it in his place? Let us know in the comments below.
