So you’re saying it’s on? It’s Royal Rumble time and that means it’s time for the legends to come out of the woodwork for the road to Wrestlemania. In this case, it means appearances from Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker. Given that “Royal Rumble 2017” is going to be taking place in Texas and San Antonio in particular, it would make sense for these two to have something to do with the show.
Now Dave Meltzer has weighed in on the rumors as well. According to F4Wonline.com by way of wrestlinginc.com, both are scheduled to appear with Undertaker being rumored to get set up for the 2017 Royal Rumble.
Michaels on the other hand is a bit trickier as he might be there to help promote his new movie or to set up an angle for the pay per view.
Is it really a surprise that we’re likely to see Undertaker in the Royal Rumble? The fact that he’s a “Smackdown Live” wrestler doesn’t mean anything, just like it hasn’t been the case for almost any version of the separated rosters over the years. Michaels on the other hand is rumored to be back for something so often that it wouldn’t feel right if he wasn’t at least mentioned.
