That’s quite the miscommunication. Earlier this month at Money In The Bank, Brock Lesnar surprised everyone by winning the namesake ladder match to become Mr. Money In The Bank. This was quite the game changer as Lesnar was going to be someone to be reckoned with for a long time to come. However, it was announced that Lesnar would make his decision on this week’s Monday Night Raw, which is exactly what he did.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Lesnar was ready to cash in his Money In The Bank contract when Paul Heyman started to read the contract. Heyman mentioned that Lesnar had a year to cash in his contract, which took Lesnar by surprise. As a result, Lesnar walked away and took the briefcase with him, deciding that he would wait to cash in his briefcase until a later date.
Money In The Bank was a crazy night. Check out this behind the scenes look:
Opinion: As annoying as it is that the Money In The Bank briefcase is still going to be around, Lesnar realizing that he had a year and hitting Heyman with the contract was funny. Other than that though, this was another bait and switch in a series of them, which tends to be a major problem for WWE. They advertise this stuff as taking place and then pull the rug out from underneath the fans by saying “eh not yet”. That gets old in a hurry and WWE doesn’t seem to understand.
