Who Might Be The First Universal Title Challenger After WrestleMania 37?

There is still time. Every now and then you find a wrestler who just can’t get over the hump. They might have all of the tools in the world but for one reason or another, something about them just does not connect to get them to the next level. It can be incredibly frustrating, but all the more rewarding when it finally clicks. That might be the case soon.

There might not be a star in WWE today who has seemed so close to the main event than Cesaro. For years now he has seemed to be the next big thing but nothing has ever actually clicked. The fans have been pushing for it for a long time but now he seems to be closer than ever before. This time around though we might be actually seeing something work, though it might be a few more months.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE may be saving Cesaro’s major push for after WrestleMania. This came after a report suggested that Cesaro could be challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Fastlane. Instead, Cesaro continued his feud with Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan talked about wanting to face Reigns for the title. There is no word on what Cesaro will be doing at WrestleMania.

Opinion: This is one of those things that seems like it could happen, though I’m not sure I can actually see it taking place. At the end of the day, Cesaro has been the guy waiting to get his chance for years now but nothing has ever come of it. He has not had this kind of momentum in a long time now though and hopefully something happens now, because otherwise it might never take place.
