This isn’t how you start a nice day. In the history of wrestling, there are very few people more universally liked than Mick Foley. He’s considered one of the nicest guys ever to step foot in the ring and gave everything he had to entertain the fans. Unfortunately, one of those things was his health.

On his Facebook page, Foley has confirmed reports that he needs hip surgery but also mentioning that he doesn’t have health insurance. Due to some issues, Foley hasn’t had insurance in quite a while and is a bit hesitant to shell out $60,000 for the replacement surgery. At the moment, WWE hasn’t offered to pay for anything but that could always change.

I have a hard time believing that WWE wouldn’t step in and at least cover some of the cost of this surgery. Foley has done some amazing things for them over the years and is one of the biggest stars in the company’s history. Even if they cover half of the cost, it’s worth it to allow Foley to walk around without pain. I’d say he’s more than earned it over the years, especially with the whole Cell Dive thing.

Have you been a fan of Foley’s time as Monday Night Raw General Manager? Who do you think should succeed him? Let us know in the comments below.
