Those are new. Titles are often still the most important part of a wrestling promotion as they show fans who they are supposed to notice. Fans are going to pay attention to shiny belts and many of those titles are going to have a long history of their own. It means a lot when you see one of the change hands, but in this case, the reigning champions are getting new titles of their own.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Not Yet: WWE Reportedly Not Planning To Call Up Top NXT Star In This Year’s Draft
This week on SmackDown, SmackDown Tag Team Champions Austin Theory and Grayson Waller were presented with new title belts. Their titles were also officially renamed the WWE Tag Team Titles. This comes in the same week as the Raw Tag Team Titles were officially rechristened as the World Tag Team Titles. After the reveal, the Street Profits won a four way match to become the new #1 contenders to the titles, with their title match coming at a time to be announced.

Opinion: This is where WWE has been making some changes and that is a good thing. Simply put, the previous designs were not exactly the best looking and it is nice to see a change. If nothing else, seeing the old World Tag Team Title design in a more modern version is rather cool as that is a design that still works very well today. WWE is doing some things with the tag division and after such a long and dry spell, that is a welcome change.
