He’s an upgrade. With less than two weeks to go before “Survivor Series 2017”, most of the card is set but there’s always room to change a thing or two. That’s what happened last night as AJ Styles won the Smackdown World Title from Jinder Mahal. This sets up Styles vs. Brock Lesnar for the pay per view, but what about John Cena refereeing Lesnar vs. Mahal? Well we now have an answer to that.
As announced on WWE.com, Cena will be the fifth member of Team Smackdown Live at “Survivor Series 2017”. While Cena has been appearing on “Monday Night Raw” as of late, he was never officially announced as a member of their roster and is still officially a free agent. Cena’s last match was a loss to Roman Reigns at “No Mercy 2017”.
Cena has been added to a Survivor Series before.

Opinion: Well that works. Cena isn’t quite what he used to be (Father Time is still undefeated) but he’s still more than a big enough name to put into a match like this. He instantly makes the match feel more important and while he might only make one appearance before the match, it’s better than almost any other option WWE had.
Do you like Cena being added to the match? Which side do you think will win? Let us know in the comments below.
