It’s a domino effect. Wrestling is connected in a lot of ways. If something happens to one wrestler, it can change the futures of several wrestlers at the same time. You never know where one thing might lead and it can often be to the benefit of a lot of people in a row. That seems to be the case this time, as one wrestler going away might have cleared the way for three.

The SmackDown tag team division has been needing a revamp for a good while. While some teams are added in here and there, the division has been built around New Day vs. the Usos for a very long time now. The addition of the Miz and John Morrison helped, but at some point you need a major shakeup. That is happening at the moment to a certain extent, albeit not by WWE’s first choice.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Jimmy Uso’s knee injury changed the SmackDown tag team scene, leading to the Forgotten Sons to be called up. The Usos would have been involved in the title scene, including in the Money in the Bank four way title match. There is no word on whether the Forgotten Sons would have been called up had it not been for the injury. Uso’s injury will keep him out from six to nine months.

The team is still awesome. Check out some of the Usos’ work:

Opinion: This isn’t exactly surprising but it might be the best thing that could happen to the division (not so much the Usos). I like the Usos quite a bit and while they’re still an incredible team, the division just needs some fresh blood. I don’t know if the Forgotten Sons are the answer, but they’re better than seeing the same things over and over again. Hopefully Uso gets better in a hurry, but for not it’s nice to see something fresh.

What do you think of the Forgotten Sons? What should the Usos do when they get back? Let us know in the comments below.
