That’s quite the set of guest stars. AEW is a very new concept and that means that it is still trying to get some more eyes on their show. Dynamite already has a built in audience but that doesn’t mean that AEW is happy with just that many viewers. Of course they want to build up their viewership and there are a variety of ways to do just that. If nothing else, they could do something to get outside eyes on the show and they may have found a way to make that happen, even if it not quite the most expected way in the world. And cartoons are involved.
As announced on Twitter, Rick and Morty, from the animated series of the same name, will be appearing on the October 30 edition of Dynamite. It is not clear how the two will appear or who they may be interacting with. It is also not confirmed why they are on the show, but it is likely related to the fourth season of Rick and Morty premiering in November. In addition to the appearance, AEW Vice President Cody has announced that all fans in attendance for the show will be receiving a free Rick and Morty mask, as Halloween is the day after the show.

Since they’re related now, check out the trailer for the new season of Rick and Morty and the rather awesome video on Cody from Dynamite:
Opinion: I have no idea if this is going to be anything special, but it isn’t like WWE has never done something similar. Rick and Morty has quite the cult following and it would make sense to put something with some popularity on Dynamite. Odds are this takes about thirty seconds and doesn’t hurt anything, so just let them do something fun. As long as it isn’t some big focal point of the show or something that gets way too much time, everything will be fine and that’s all you can ask for in something like this.
Do you like this idea? Is the show a good fit for AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
