That deserves credit. Love him or hate him, Vince McMahon is the most powerful person in wrestling, possibly in its entire history. His influence is felt up and down the industry and the things he has done have changed wrestling forever. A lot of people don’t like some of the moves that he has made and that is understandable, though sometimes he does things that are worthy of some recognition.
Former WWE star Trevor Murdoch recently posted a story on Facebook, talking about McMahon helping Harley Race before he passed away earlier this week. Race was in Atlanta and needed a medical flight to St. Louis but could not afford one. A phone call was made to WWE and McMahon himself paid the entire bill. Murdoch also thanked McMahon for giving him two more days with Race, who had trained Murdoch and was close to him.
You might not remember Murdoch. Check him out in a big six man tag:
Opinion: That’s just cool to hear and there’s nothing bad to say about McMahon in this situation. He may be older now and somewhat crazy but at the same time, he seems to have a love of wrestling and is willing to pay the money to make something happen. Anyone can put up a nice post on Twitter but doing something like this shows McMahon going a step further, which means a lot given his stature and resources.
What is your favorite Race moment? How cool was this of McMahon? Let us know in the comments below.
