Get them on the show. Over the last few months, one of the biggest problems WWE has faced has been getting wrestlers on television. There are all kinds of wrestlers, including champions, who are lucky to get on television once or twice a month, if even that often. It becomes a problem when the roster is so big, yet NXT has somehow managed to solve the problem in a single night of tapings.

At Tuesday’s NXT taping, General Manager William Regal announced a new tournament called the Breakout Tournament, which will feature eight wrestlers who have never appeared on NXT TV. The winner of the tournament will be allowed to challenge for any NXT Title of their choosing. This tournament is also noteworthy as it will include a variety of new signings who will be appearing under their new names. Here are the brackets, with the new and old names included:

Jordan Myles (ACH)
BOA

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (Shane Strickland)
Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee)

Bronson Reed (Jonah Rock)
Dexter Lumis (Samuel Shaw)

Angel Garza (Garza Jr.)
Joaquin Wilde (DJZ)

You’ll need to get to know Scott. Check him out under his more famous moniker:

Opinion: That’s quite the set of brackets and it’s very cool to see NXT getting these people on television. What worries me though is that if they’re bringing in this many people, a lot more of them are likely to be heading up to the main roster sooner. Given how things have been going in recent months on the main roster, that could be a disaster for the very talented people on the stacked NXT roster. Hopefully this isn’t the case, but you never know how bad it could wind up going.

Which of these talents has the most potential? Who will win the tournament? Let us know in the comments below.
