That’s a new one. WWE has a lot of different rosters to fill and often times that includes a lot of different wrestlers moving around to fill them. Sometimes there are moves that should seem to be obvious but take a long time to actually happen. We got another one of those moves this week as someone went from doing pretty much nothing to going to a different roster.
This week on 205 Live, Chad Gable made his debut for the brand. Gable was brought out as a surprise by 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick and went on to defeat Jack Gallagher via DQ. At the moment it seems that this is going to be a permanent move for Gable. Since his split with Bobby Roode, Gable’s only televised match has been in the fifty man battle royal at Super ShowDown.
He didn’t waste any time. Check out Gable’s 205 Live debut:
Opinion: This is a move that makes sense and is rather overdue. Gable is someone who is probably going to be seen as too small to make it on the main roster, despite being an Olympic wrestler with great charisma. 205 Live might not be the best place in WWE, but it’s certainly better than being part of the mob that chases R-Truth around every single week. Take what you can get and maybe it can lead somewhere.
