You need an exit strategy. Wrestling is a weird world in that wrestlers often have a hard time finding a way out of the industry. Several wrestlers have issues getting out as they have nowhere else to go or perhaps no plan on what to do next. Sometimes they might have a plan, but they wind up having to leave wrestling earlier than expected. That seems to be the case again.
The NXT Title has quite the nice history in WWE today, as being a former champion means that you are often on a fast track to becoming a star on one of the main rosters. Former champions make up a who’s who of current WWE stars, but that is not the case for everyone to hold the title. There is one in particular who seems ready to leave the company and has a next step planned.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, former NXT Champion Bo Dallas has not been at recent WWE tapings, not even being brought in to sit at catering. Dallas is still employed but has not wrestled on television since Crown Jewel on October 31, 2019. Dallas and Liv Morgan live on a farm together and have started a real estate business as a plan for life after wrestling. There is nothing to indicate or suggest that Morgan is planning to leave WWE.
Dallas did some good things in the ring. Check out his time in WWE and NXT:
Opinion: This is one of those things I do not understand as WWE seemed to think something of Dallas. Why they would rather have him sit at home and collect a check is beyond me, as you would think there would be something for him to do somewhere. If nothing else, good for him for having a plan though, as so many wrestlers do not seem to grasp that it is a good idea.
