Former Champion Returns to WWE TV

Woo woo woo, guess who’s back! A few months ago, Zack Ryder was put on the injured list with a horrible knee injury. The win came at the end of a tag team battle royal where Ryder and his partner Mojo Rawley, collectively known as the Hype Bros, earned a shot at the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. It wasn’t clear what would happen to the team but now we might get to find out.

This week on “Smackdown Live”, Ryder made his return to the show in a backstage vignette. Rawley was upset over his recent loss to Smackdown World Champion Jinder Mahal when Ryder appeared behind him as a surprise. Rawley was happy to see his old friend and they left together. There is no word on when Ryder will be cleared to return to the ring.

Opinion: While I don’t know if he’s going to make a big impact, it’s nice to have Ryder back on the active roster. He’s someone the crowd cares about and he gives Rawley an instant story. The Hype Bros might not be the best team in the world but they could give us a fresh pairing. If nothing else they’re owed a Tag Team Title shot, assuming they stick together.
